Law College Dehradun, a faculty of Uttaranchal University has been a leading institution in legal education since 2002, the college provides research-based work and opportunities through various competitions at different levels that are aimed at striking a balance between legal theory and practice which has also set a paradigm for legal education in the nation.

About The Competition
LCDMUN 6.0 is a National Youth Parliament and Model United Nations Conference which is scheduled on the 29th and 30th of November 2024, is a platform to put forward opinions on matters of National and International relevance. There will be 6 committees in this event namely, United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), United Nations Office On Drugs And Crime (UNODC), Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly (UKLA), Lok Sabha, All India Political Party Meet (AIPPM) and IP.
Model United Nations and Youth Parliament help to enrich speaking skills, critical thinking, diplomacy, and knowledge regarding various ongoing issues to conclude and also dilate the standpoint on global issues. This is a flagship event of Youth Parliament Society that will act as a stepping stone for the forthcoming youth to polish their knowledge of global politics and parliamentary and debating skills. The mastery of confidently presenting one’s perceptions and views in a formal environment will help the participants build their place in their respective social groups and this is a much-needed craft to master the art of life. This event will garnish the academic personality of the participating young minds and will boost their self-confidence.
Eligibility
The competition is open to all the students from different academic fields of any recognized University/ College/ Schools.
The theme of the Competition
6th Edition of LCDMUN will witness simulation of following committees with the respective agendas:
- UNGA: Exploring the Golden Age of Cyber Space: The Urgent Need for Enhanced Cyber Security Legislations.
- UNODC: Analyzing Global Drug Trafficking Trends with Special Emphasis on Legal Frameworks to Combat Networks Efficiently.
- UKLA: Deliberation on Impact of Industrialization on Tourism and Natural Habitat in Uttarakhand.
- Lok Sabha: Deliberation on Feasibility of Waqf Amendment Bill, 2024.
- AIPPM: Deliberation on Reservation System in India with Special Emphasis on Creamy Layer Reservation and Caste Census.

Registration Fee
Registration fees details are as follows:-
- UU Students: Rs. 1200/-
- Non-UU Students: Rs. 1500/-
- Non-UU Students with accommodation: Rs. 3500/-
(Note: Accommodation will be provided from 28th night to 30th evening.)
