About The Internship
With this initiative and zeal in mind, this time too, Centre For Child Rights (CCR), NUSRL proudly announces its call for one month of internship for those interested and wish to contribute to study, research and practical learning within the ambit of Child Rights and Child Protection.
This internship is available in both physical and remote formats, and the selected students are expected to participate in the programme through the office of Centre for Child Rights NUSRL Ranchi. The duration of the internship is from 1st July to 31st July 2024.
Internship Guidelines

- Focus Areas: Study, research, and practical learning within the ambit of Child Rights and Child Protection
Selection Criteria
- Evaluation based on:
- CV
- Past publications
- Work experience in research
- Answers to the questionnaire in the Google form
Duration of Internship
- Dates: 1st July to 31st July 2024
Mode
- Available in both physical and remote formats
Tentative Tasks to be Performed
- Conduct in-depth analysis and research on child protection issues, focusing on child marriage, POCSO cases, and crimes against children, with an emphasis on Jharkhand State
- Prepare and present case studies on significant instances from the field of Child Protection and Child Rights in India, highlighting challenges in interpretation and enforcement
- Identify five focus areas within child protection, drafting write-ups of at least 2500 words each on the selected areas, in the form of case studies with proposed resolution plans
- Create content-based educational compendiums, including photos, newspaper clippings, and creative writing
- For physical attendees: Conduct fieldwork to collect data, perform situational analysis through personal interviews, and conduct FGDs with key child protection stakeholders
- Collaborate with faculty and experts to ensure alignment of case studies, presentations, and compendiums with internship objectives
Certification Criteria
- The internship runs for 30 days (01 Month)
- Internship certificate provided after final report submission
- Interns must acquire ‘15 unit points’ within the set time frame
- Points are based on the quality, not just the quantity or word count, of submitted articles
- Plagiarism above 20% is strictly discouraged; repeated plagiarism leads to termination
