ABOUT DEPARTMENT OF LAW, JUSTICE AND LEGISLATIVE AFFAIRS, GOVT. OF NCT OF DELHI

The Department of Law, Justice & Legislative Affairs is one of the important segment of the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi. Amongst other functions allocated to this department under the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (Transaction of Business Rules), 1993 the department is more importantly engaged in the functions such as tendering legal advice on variety of issues referred to by various departments of Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi and also performing consultative role in regard to proposals for legislations, framing of statutory rules/regulations, notifications, byelaws and finalization of important MOUs etc.

ABOUT THE SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME

Department of Law, Justice and Legislative Affairs, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, is introducing/commencing Summer Internship Programme to acquaint young law students with the working of Department of Law, Justice & Legislative Affairs Govt. of NCT of Delhi, by giving training in the field of research & referencing work, tendering of legal advice in various specialized fields of law such as Constitutional &Administrative Law, Labour Laws, Conveyancing, Arbitration & Contract Law /Legislative Process/ Subordinate Legislation etc. It is one of its kind initiative by the Department of Law, Justice and Legal Affairs, Govt. of NCT of Delhi, so as to give interns/ students, an opportunity to gain practical experience/exposure in the working of this Department. This programme would offer a unique platform to law students to put their legal knowledge, skills and experience into practice. An acquaintance with grass root realities and intricacies of Law, would enrich the knowledge base of these students and hold the min good stead professionally, at a later stage.

Online Applications are invited for Internship Programme in the Department of Law, Justice & LA, Govt. of NCT of Delhi”, for selection of candidates interns of Guidelines for the Internship, which are available on the website of the department.

PERIOD

The internship is being offered during the month of July. The Summer Internshipshall be for the period from 01.07.2024 to 31.07.2024.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Students who are pursuing studies:-
(i) in 2nd & 3rd year of three-year Law Degree Course or
(ii) in 3rd to 5th year of five year Law Degree Course from any recognized College/Law school/University.

Interested Students can fill the Online Application form (Google Form). The link for filing of the online application form for Summer Internship Programme -2024, is available on the official website of the Department of Law, Justice and Legislative Affairs, Govt. of NCT of Delhi. Last Date to apply for this programme is 25th June, 2024 upto 5:00p.m.

ACADEMIC CREDIT
The Certificates of Internship will be issued after assessment of the work done reports/
project reports submitted by interns.
